What is a custom trigger for precipitation notifying me of?  Print denne artikel

The precipitation conditions in the custom triggers are hourly precipitation rates for said precipitation type. So if you create a custom trigger for snowfall greater than or equal to (>=) 2", you will be notified when the hourly snowfall rate in that location will equal or exceed 2" per hour. You will not be notified when the total snowfall accumulation for that event in that location has equaled or exceeded 2", because again this is an hourly rate, not total accumulation.

Threat Intelligence Alerts are designed to notify clients of precipitation timing and total accumulations for an event in a given location.

It will also not notify you when the precipitation rate has reached or exceeded 2" per hour in real time. Again, these custom triggers are based on the hourly forecasts updated at 6 AM and 6 PM local time every day. It is not looking at the radar or weather observations in real time.

For real-time weather alerts, make sure you have your Livecast Alerts enabled for each of your forecasting locations. This ensures you'll be receiving real-time updates on imminent or ongoing weather events when what is unfolding significantly deviates from our forecasts, delivered at 6 AM and 6 PM local time every day.
