Scattered to widespread severe thunderstorms, snow events, tropical storms, hurricanes, significant rainfall events (scattered to widespread flooding), and when the event is "active", and any changes need to be communicated. 
 
* Severe thunderstorm criteria is 58mph or greater wind gust and hail up to 1" diameter.
